Ankauf Neue Nationalgalerie

Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin acquires REFLECTING ASHLARS by Veronika Kellndorfer

Reflecting Ashlars shows the empty museum at the beginning of a process of restoration revealing its raw materiality; the original steel, glass, and stone coexist with the stacks of materials waiting to be removed, amidst the dust and dirt of the construction site. The work is part of the re-opening exhibition and can be seen until Juli 2023.

National Gallery Reflecting Ashlars, 4-panel silkscreen print on glass, 230 x 350 cm, has been commissioned by the Chicago Biennial, 2017 and was part of New Views, Elmhurst Art Museum, 2018

Stilted House

Carsten Fock, Günther Förg, Sabine Hornig, Veronika Kellndorfer, Heimo Lattner, Ulrich Lamsfuß, Isa Melsheimer, Jonathan Monk, Alona Rodeh, Erik Schmidt, Heidi Specker, Claudia Wiesner. Zusammengestellt von Stephanie Kloss

Inselstr. 7 , 10179 Berlin

Die Arbeit Stilted House wurde von Veronika Kellndorfer 2017 für die Einzelausstellung Tropical Modernism, part 4 im Nasjonalmuseet Oslo, geschaffen. 2019 wurde die Arbeit in Fiction and Fabrication, im MAAT, Museu Arte, Arquitectura e Tecnologia, Lissabon ausgestellt.

Open House

Open House at the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin, June 4-6, 2021

At the invitation of Joachim Jäger, Veronika Kellndorfer photographed the empty hall of the Neue Nationalgalerie shortly after it closed for refurbishment in 2015. The resulting images are already imbued with a historical dimension, as they show the Neue Nationalgalerie in a kind of archaeological interim that will never be seen again. Some of these works are now being shown as part of the pre-opening days at the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin.

FOLDED SHELL - Commissioned work based on Goldstein Residence

In this recently commissioned collaboration with Michael Smith Inc. and Christopher Grimes Project, my research on Brazilian Modernism amalgamates with the Californian architecture of the '60s and '70s exploring John Lautner's Sheats-Goldstein Residence.
