The works’ production process is complex. Photographs are the basis of what appears in the glass. The motifs are silkscreen printed onto large-format panes of glass in a factory for industrial and automobile windows.

The colors are determined in a complex procedure and then applied in monochrome or bicolor, transparent or opaque. The specific resolution of the silkscreen gives a painterly quality to the motifs. At a temperature of almost 800° C (1472° F) a mixture of pigments and glass particles melts into the glass and combines with it into a single entity.

Der Entstehungsprozess der Arbeiten ist komplex: Dem, was in den Gläsern aufscheint, liegen fotografische Aufnahmen zugrunde. Die Motive werden in einer Fabrik für Industrie- und Autogläser per Siebdruckverfahren auf großformatige Glasplatten gedruckt.

Die Farben werden in einem aufwendigem Mischverfahren bestimmt, dann monochrom bzw. zweifarbig aufgetragen - transparent oder opak - verleiht der Siebdruck mit seiner spezifischen Rasterung den Motiven malerische Qualitäten. Eine Mischung aus Farbpigmenten und Glaspartikeln sinkt bei fast 800 Grad Celsius Ofentemperatur ins Glas ein, verbindet sich mit diesem und verschmilzt zu einer untrennbaren Einheit.
