"Hinterland" the final exhibition of the grant recipients 2005 in the gallery of Villa Massimo. The Villa Massimo, formerly a suburban villa of the princely Massimo family, located outside the city walls in the bucolic "campagna romana", is timeless as a place to this day.

The work focuses on the superposition of inside and outside space, blurring the boundaries between real space and projected space. The projection shows an urban landscape: the roundabout with cars and pedestrians in front of Mario Ridolfi's post office in Piazza Bologna. Once as a slide projection on the facade of my Studio N ° 9 and then as a film projected onto the built model of the post office. The simple, grainy quality of the footage is reminiscent of the tradition of low-budget productions, referring to the tradition of Neorealismo, Rome in autumn 2005.
