The motif for the Eames window was silk-screened onto glass and burned in, the silkscreen giving a painterly presence to the photograph. The vertical structure of the curtain and the strict architecture of the windows contrast with the vegetative ornamentation of the plants. Trees protruding into the image and returning as reflections in the windowpanes manifest the effects of light and shadow.

The perception of the viewer changes while moving around the work as the glass reflects it's surrounding environment of visitors, artworks, windows and skylights. These reflections become integral to the experience of understanding the work on it's own terms.
